Find the intrinsic metal value (melt value) of your gold and silver coins. This is not a valuation for collectible coins.
Select a coin to see its details and calculate the value.
1. What is "melt value"?
Melt value (or intrinsic value) is the worth of the precious metal content within a coin. It's what the gold or silver would be worth if the coin were melted down. It does not include any value from rarity, age, or condition.
2. Is this the exact price a dealer will pay me?
Not exactly. Dealers typically buy precious metals at a price slightly *below* the melt value (the "spread") and sell slightly *above* it. This tool gives you an excellent benchmark for the current market value.
